Well hi again, my beloved Jerryatrics. This particular edition of Jerry’s Jive may strike you as a bit short, but trust me when I say there’s a good reason. That reason is this. I have nothing really to rant about. Things have been going fairly well for me lately, which is certainly more than I can say for some people around here. I won’t name names. They know who they are, and right now they’ve got their heads down in shame. Anyway, all I really want to talk about is being back in the color commentary spot, and so that’s what we’ll do right now.

Here’s a plain and simple fact for you. Katie saved me by helping me get my commentary spot back. Oh yes, I’ll flat out admit it. I would be in a much worse state, drowning in my own sorrow and depravity, than I am now, where none of that is happening. I guess that’s really another way of saying it feels good to be back. It does. It really does. Even though Cal’s there, kinda mucking it all up, it’s still where I belong. Where my Jerryatrics can hear my lovely voice every week, where Bob can take my crap while offering little to no resistance every week, it’s perfect. It’s like riding a bicycle. I certainly never forgot how to do commentary like the champ I am. It’s like settling back on an old, comfy couch. That’s probably why I’m in such a good mood, and probably why I have nothing to rant about. I’m sitting on my confy couch of life, relaxing, absorbing my surroundings. Who knows, I might even take a nap here.

So yeah, I would like to thank Katie, B Cool, and of course my Jerryatrics for keeping me in their thoughts, and putting me back where I truly belong. I would thank Bob, but he probably wouldn’t hear it, given his impression of me. Ah well, it’s worth it, especially since I know he missed me deep down. Hell, I missed me deep down. Anyway, I guess that’s it. Yeah, told you all it’d be short. You want a longer column, someone needs to really make me mad about something. For now, though, this is what you get.
