Rock you Like a Hurricane begins to play, its guitar standing out as the only sound we hear at first. At the same time, the unplugged logo appears on the screen, flashing to the beat. It moves double-time as the second guitar joins in, and as the song really picks up, it expands outward. Inside it, we see clips of SWA superstars battling it out in all types of matches. This lasts until the pause just before the vocals, when the logo shrinks once again, and morphs into the SWA logo. We then transition to a studio, where trainer Jackson Farnsworth sits behind a desk. Smiling at the camera, he begins to speak. Jackson: Hello and welcome to the very first edition of Unplugged, the Skyfall Training Camp’s online web cast of matches involving our very promising up and coming talent. I’m Jackson Farnsworth, personal trainer of the STC, here to walk you through these exciting match ups. On our card tonight we have Hector Venegas, formerly of the main SWA roster facing off against new comer Chris Hoff. Next up we have a Japanese living legend in Kensei Mashuri squaring off with the cute but deadly Chou Taihou. Will this formerly retired sensei have what it takes to teach the young Chou a thing or two? We’ll find out tonight! Next up is a showdown of highflying meets technical as SWA descendant and student of SWA Superstar Izzy Omega, Ruby Morgan looks to claim a win over SWA hopeful, Ally Daniels. And finally our main event pits old school versus new as Tom “Mad Dog” Tanner meets not one but two of the Miller Brothers in the ring for some handicap action. It’s an exciting time here in the STC, lets find out who has what it takes to move up to the main roster and who could use a little more schooling as the SWA proudly presents STC Unplugged! A graphic appears, showing Hector Venegas and Chris Hoff. We then see clips of the match as Jackson continues to speak. Jackson: Unplugged started off right with a fabulously aggressive match between Hector Venegas and Chris Hoff. Hector started this match off on the right foot, going right at Hoff. Hoff had done quite the job on Hector throughout the week, clearly getting under his skin, and that seemed to really have set Hector off. Chris adapted, though, coming back with this staggering superplex here, but it wasn’t enough to put Venegas down for good. A series of quick and high-impact moves, followed by an inside cradle, were enough to give Hector the victory over Chris Hoff. Given the intensity Hoff showed, however, as well as his in-ring skill, I’d still say his career looks quite promising. There is a brief, transitional graphic, and then another showing Kensei Mashuri and Chou Taihou, followed again by clips. Jackson: And the fun didn’t stop there. Second match of the evening, Kensei versus Chou and let me tell you what an explosive match this was! Little Chou put up a hell of a fight but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to bring down the hardened veteran Kensei Mashuri. His technique seemed flawless tonight. He could do no wrong, almost as if he himself was orchestrating everything that went on in that ring. Call it Tao, call it Ying and Yang, call it whatever you want, for me it was nothing more than an artful display of athleticism and I’m sure every member of the STC roster can learn something from this man here. Look forward to seeing him again, I can almost guarantee his quick rise to the SWA roster with very little effort and a hell of a lot of style. Another transition, and we see another graphic which shows Ruby Morgan and Ally Daniels. Next up, Ruby Morgan took on Ally Daniels, and what a display from Ally here. She’s an SWA newcomer, but she’s already demonstrating the qualities of what we call a ring general. As you see here, she stays on the defensive most of the time, striking out effectively when she needs to. And while Ruby was not completely lacking in offense, (she actually has quite a run here, as you see), Ally manages to avoid every single attempt Ruby makes at a high-flying move. Top it off with the submission finisher, and you’ve got a victory for Ally Daniels. Nice work. Unfortunately for Ruby, it would not end there. Roary Morgan came running out of the back after the match, and into the ring. He grabbed Ruby, and there was a brief struggle, but as you’ll see, she finds a quick method of escape. Oooo. Right in the jewels. Good goin', Ruby. A special Main Event graphic appears then, showing The Miller Brothers and Tom “Mad Dog” Tanner. Clips follow. Jackson: And last but not least, our main event. Tom Mad Dog Tanner took on not one, but both of the Miller brothers. And that’s not all, as Reynolds would come to stand in Tom’s corner. Of course, this left everyone wondering if he would get involved, but it seems he was content to stand on the sidelines and shout advice and encouragement to his client. Luckily for Tom, this was a tag-style handicapped match, so he didn’t have to deal with both Millers at once. And for this reason, he did fairly well throughout the entire match, showing an endurance that will definitely serve him well here. The numbers game is a powerful thing, though, and it eventually caught up to him. Despite all the encouragement, and reassurance he was receiving from outside the ring, the Millers showed a good teamwork ethic, and remained relentless, always coming back from whatever Mad Dog tried to do. It would eventually be too much, and Roger Miller would get the three count. Mad Dog, good try. You should be recognized for lasting as long as you did, and I’m sure your manager realizes that as well. We fade after showing a shot of Reynolds leading Mad Dog to the back, and are then shown the Unplugged logo once more. Jackson: And that’s it. A spectacular edition of the new Unplugged, brought to you by the SWA, and the STC. Tune in next week for another edition, where you can see more of the same high-intensity action. Until then, I’m Jackson Farnsworth. See ya. Rock you Like a Hurricane plays again, and now we see both the SWA and Unplugged logos, which slowly fade out until the screen is black. |
