Rock you Like a Hurricane begins to play, its guitar standing out as the only sound we hear at first. At the same time, the unplugged logo appears on the screen, flashing to the beat. It moves double-time as the second guitar joins in, and as the song really picks up, it expands outward. Inside it, we see clips of SWA superstars battling it out in all types of matches. This lasts until the pause just before the vocals, when the logo shrinks once again, and morphs into the SWA logo. We then transition to a studio, where trainer Jackson Farnsworth sits behind a desk. Smiling at the camera, he begins to speak. Jackson: Hello and welcome one and all to edition number seven of STC Unplugged! We’ve got a great show for you here as we see some new talent enter our doors and perhaps some leaving right back through them as well. We start off our night with two devastating forces the STC has to offer as Ruby Omega teams up with Stephanie Frost to give the team of Cody and Chris Hoff a last chance to prove that they have what it takes to stick around. Then we have new comer Victoria Crawford stepping into the ring for what can only be an interesting match against Kyla Jensen. Following that we have another new addition to our roster, Alex Kaelin, looking to make his presence known against our resident mad Russian, Sergei Konstantin. And finally our main event pits Evan “Lightning” Montez against Thomas Carmichael. Who will have what it takes to stand above the rest? We’ll find out all that and more here on this edition of Unplugged! But as if that’s not enough, management has decided that there seems to be something lacking from our recap show here and have decided to try out a few guest co-hosts in hopes to spice things up a bit, as if I’m not enough for you people to begin with. So, without anything further to say on the subject, ladies and gentlemen, my co-host for tonight, Rick Astley. Never Gonna Give You Up begins to play as Rick Astley joins Jackson Farnsworth at the desk, a large plastic looking smile on his face as the music cuts. Jackson: Well then, a pleasure to have you with us, Mr. Astley. Astley: We're no strangers to love, you know the rules and so do I. Jackson: Right… well then let’s get right to it! Now this week we where fortunate enough to have a man who is quickly working his way up the STC ladder come in for an interview, let’s take a look. The SWA logo flies across the screen as it transitions into the interview. Jackson: Ladies and gentlemen, Kensei Mashuri! Kensei: Konichiwa. Jackson: Welcome to the show, I’m sure we have a lot to talk about but let’s start out with the usual as to what brought you into this world of wrestling. Kensei: Well, back when I was a kid wrestling just started getting revival in my country. Puro started to become big, and my father took me to a show and I fell in love. A few years later I began training. Jackson: And now here you are in the STC where anything is possible. Are you enjoying your time here? We’ve got some very interesting characters running around don’t we. Kensei: Sorta, I mean its refreshing. Been a while since I stepped in the ring. Was retired for almost 5 years. And the characters? There nuts, we got some hippies, we got a bunch of wack jobs and a few half decent wrestlers. Astley: A full commitment's what I'm thinking of, you wouldn't get this from any other guy. Kensei: Ahuh, whatever you say singing guy. Jackson: Right… um… getting back on track here… Astley: I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling, gotta make you understand. Kensei: I don't need to understand how your feeling, I really don't care. Jackson: Couldn’t agree with you more on that point. Ok, moving on. What do you think has been your toughest challenge yet? Kensei: Toughest challenge? Well got to be Damien, he showed some fire out there. He stole that win in the triple threat, I wasn't quick enough there. Jackson: That was a good match all around, I must say. Is there anyone on the STC roster who you would like to meet in that ring? Perhaps a rematch or someone you haven’t had the pleasure of wrestling yet? Astley: We've known each other for so long, your heart's been aching but you're too shy to say it. Kensei: Hey singing boy shut up, or imma rick roll your face with my fist. And as for your question Jackson, right now I’m looking at that new comer Thomas, kid got passion, kid got talent and well he’s on a roll as of late. I think we would make a good match. Jackson: Indeed he has! So what more can we expect to see from the great Kensei? What are your plans for your future here in the SWA? Kensei: Plans, not to beat a dead horse because well this one is pretty dead already and every single person says it. But world champion, and well it will be a testament to the fact I may be old, but I sure as hell still got it. Jackson: Well there’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that you’ve still got what it takes out there in that ring. Astley: Inside we both know what's been going on, we know the game and we're gonna play it. And if you ask me how I'm feeling, don't tell me you're too blind to see. Jackson: Ok, lets wrap this up in the interest of time, Kensei, do you have any parting words for us? Kensei: Yea, Rick Astley is a ass. Jackson: And there you have it. Kensei, thank you for joining us and Rick… well yeah… Stay tuned folks because we are going to get right into the action coming up next! Astley: Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna run around and desert you, never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye, never gonna tell a lie and hurt you! With that, there is a brief, transitional graphic, and then another showing Cody, Chris Hoff, Ruby Omega and Stephanie Frost followed again by clips. Jackson: Our first match of the night was a last chance match for the team of Chris Hoff and Cody and they had a strong team to compete against in Stephanie Frost and Ruby Omega! Astley: If there's anything you need, all you have to do is say, you know you satisfy everything in me, we shouldn't waste a single day Jackson: Um… right, it was a very satisfying match wasn’t it, Rick. Anyway, Ruby and Stephanie just couldn’t seem to put their differences aside, feuding with each other perhaps more than their opponents for this week. Cody and Chris tried to use this to their advantage, isolating Ruby while Frost could only watch on though it didn’t seem like she cared too much. Once tagged in though, Stephanie cleaned house quick, knocking Cody to the outside and quickly taking Hoff down into a Frost Bite, making Hoff tap out quickly and cementing the win for her team. Afterwards, Hoff was escorted out by security. They were going to escort Cody as well, but B Cool came to the ring, and saved his career, saying he was allowed to stay. Hoff didn’t look too happy, but he had very little choice in the matter. Astley: DYNOMITE! Jackson: What did you just say? Astley: So don't stop me falling, it's destiny calling, a power I just can't deny, it's never changing, can't you hear me, I'm saying, I want you for the rest of my life. Jackson: No, that’s not what you just said. Astley just kind of stares at him blankly. Jackson: Alright then, moving on… Another transition, and we see another graphic which shows Victoria Crawford and Kyla Jensen. Jackson: In our second match of the night we saw our newest STC member Victoria Crawford look to cut her teeth with Kyla Jensen. Astley: She's taken my time, convinced me she's fine but when she leaves I'm not so sure. Jackson: Really? Is this all you do? Astley: No… Jackson: I… ok. Ahem. It seems that our new comer Victoria Crawford wasn’t sure of what she was getting into when she stepped into the ring with Kyla Jensen. Kyla layed into her with blow after blow, scratch after scratch… You can see here, it was not pretty. But it wasn’t as simple as all that, either. Kyla didn’t simply want to end the match. She wanted to hurt Victoria, and she did it. Victoria met the turnbuckle on more than one occasion, got thrown around the ring, and just plain beaten down whilst Kyla giggled and cheered… herself. It all came to a head, no pun intended, when Roxy stepped in the ring and took out the ref before he could say anything about it. Then, she and Kyla performed this move right here. Facial Reconstruction is what they call this. Just check this out. Curb stomp, and knee drop at the same time, and Roxy’s got that brace too. Total ownage here, and I don’t know what Victoria’s gonna do after this. Astley: It's always the same: she's playing her game, and when she goes I feel to blame. Jackson ignores Rick as a graphic appears, showing Alex Kaelin and Sergei Konstantin. We then see clips of the match as Jackson continues to speak. Jackson: Talk about a slugfest! Alex Kaelin climbed into the ring with Sergei Konstantin and this match was anything but friendly! Astley: My heart starts breaking, when I think of making a plan to let you go. I keep thinking maybe tomorrow I’m gonna let you know, but when I think about leaving I think about losing the only love I ever knew. Jackson: You know, they might as well have set a recording next to me. Alex and Sergei made it clear that they were not here to win friends this week as they stepped into the ring and brought us perhaps the hardest fought battle we’ve seen yet. Each had their own big moves during the night and by the end of it they were both busted open standing in the center of the ring trading blows back and forth. Finally it seemed that the blood loss got a bit too much for Sergei as he fell to the mat, Alex able to get the pin for his first win here in the STC. Astley: We've been trying for a long time to say what we want to say but feelings don't come easy to express in a simple way. But we all have feelings, we all need loving. Jackson: Thank you for proving my point. A special Main Event graphic appears then, showing Evan “Lightning” Montez and Thomas Carmichael. Clips follow. Jackson: Our main event was one for the history books as Evan “Lightning” Montez took on the rookie on a roll, Thomas Carmichael. Jackson waits for Astley to interrupt with another one of his song lyrics but Astley just sits there grinning like a fool so Jackson continues on. Jackson: Evan really brought it to Thomas this week, knocking him down a peg or two and showing him that it’s going to take more than what he’s got if he wants to continue to be part of the main event. Thomas, while doing the best he could just didn’t seem to have what it took to get the win over Montez but hopefully he learned a few valuable lessons here tonight. It was a hard hitting match but in the end Evan prevailed. Astley: You know Jackson, I don’t appreciate you talking to me in a diminutive manner. I may be an ageing pop star but I still have feelings and they can be hurt. I was asked to come on this show to help you out and all I get is this disrespect. You can go fuck yourself, Jackson, you and the rest of your little SWA buddies. Astley slams his chair back as he stands suddenly, exiting the studio, leaving a shocked Jackson behind. Jackson: Um well… we’ll see you next week…Unplugged. Rock you Like a Hurricane plays again, and now we see both the SWA and Unplugged logos, which slowly fade out until the screen is black. |
