Lately by Strip the Image begins to play and the Edge logo appears followed by the logos for Turbulence and finally February Revolution. The February Revolution logo explodes and the Wristlock Logo takes it’s place. The TV in the background is zoomed in on and the letters begin to swirl like they’re liquid going down a drain until there’s nothing left but the darkness. From the blackness we fade into the Wristlock Set where Natasha Graves sits in the same chair once occupied by Mark Ventor. Tasha Graves: Welcome to the first Wristlock of 2007! I know we’re two months behind but we had to find someone to replace former SWA, now IWF superstar Mark Ventor. She smirks. Tasha Graves: It was a really hard process..after all Mark Ventor is the greatest talk show host, wrestler and human being on the planet right? Pfft WRONG! Let’s just put it this way. Mark Ventor is where he belongs..in an amateur second rate federation. I Natasha Graves have been selected and given full control over the Wednesday Wristlock and I’m gonna take it places Ventor only dreamed of. I’m going to voice my opinion, ruffle some feathers and interview SWA superstar Jeff Stark…So what are we waiting for? Let’s get started! A SWA logo appears on the screen beside the chair and Natasha folds her hands in her lap. Tasha Graves: Last week was an incredible pay per view for the SWA. It also marked another week of SWA trouncing for the IWF. What I can’t figure out is why we as a federation can’t get it together and take out these losers. DOD has been doing their part, Isabella and Camilla Pazzini have been doing their parts and I’m pretty sure that Wreck and Rage will be doing their part if the private jet is on the runway..if you know what I mean. Tasha Graves: I think the reason we can’t get it together is people won’t put aside their own personal grudges. B. Cool and Brawler were too busy last week taking care of Behemoth. I understand that Behemoth had Alyssa but come on she was back moderately safe and sound..Your jobs have bigger requirements than triple teaming a giant retard through a 2,000 dollar piece of SWA staging. Just fire the guy and get on with it you had bigger fish to fry. What you thought was impressive and you’re probably patting your back for now while admirable wasn’t the biggest fish you had to fry and that’s a mistake. She holds her hands up defensively. Tasha Graves: Now before you get all defensive and come after me let me just say that I’m not out to get anyone. I’m just trying to put things into perspective..we’re at war here. This place is crumbling and looking to fall apart ok? Well with that said I can move on to my next example..the Pazzini Sisters. What the hell are you two doing? Nice win against McGoldrick and a just as impressive victory against Rachel for Camilla and Isabella. I’m still wondering if McGoldrick is SWA or IWF but I’ll just write him off as a line jumping opportunist. Now you two have set your sights on DOD? What have they done to you? Nothing! Absolutely nothing! If anything they’ve helped out this federation a hell of a lot more than you two just jumping Jac Morgan so long ago that I don’t even remember. As a matter of fact Izzy Thundervolt helped you win that belt so I suggest you give them the respect they deserve. They’re not anyone to play barbies with. She lets out an exasperated sigh. Tasha Graves: Jealousy that someone is getting more limelight than you is a sign they’re doing more than you. Rather than beating up the helpful people why not be helpful yourself? Just an idea and not just for the Pazzini Sisters but the whole SWA roster. Just my two cents. The SWA Edge logo appears on the screen. Tasha Graves: So this week’s Edge is live from Warwick Road Island. We’re kicking things off with Jack Sabbath and Sensei Shredder. Sabbath and Shredder appear on the screen. Tasha Graves: Sensei Shredder is fresh off losing his Xtreme Championship due to a brutal attack by Kellon just last Sunday. A win for Sabbath here could just skyrocket Jack into the hardcore title race and send Sensei Shredder back down the hardcore ladder in the minds of many Xtreme fans. Then again you never know what could happen in the SWA Xtreme division. I mean Russell Brown held the title for two seconds. Needless to say both of these men are in their element. I think I’m gonna have to declare this one a draw in my mind. I just really don’t know who to choose. Jeff Stark and Jared Cage appear on the screen. Tasha Graves: Fresh off his victory against The Omen, Jared Cage will face former loony, CTU agent and my guest later on tonight, Jeff Stark. While I’m sure Jared is feeling a huge rush with that victory at February Revolution, he’s gonna have to kick it up a notch to compete with Stark. I give this one to Jeff Stark hands down not gonna get lucky twice kid. Illiana Rasputin and Hell Cat appear on the screen. Tasha Graves: Being a women’s wrestler myself I have an interest in this match. Hell Cat makes her debut and Illiana Rasputin dropped the no speak English very well act. The gloves are on and it’s almost go time. I’m going to have to give the match itself to Illiana. Experience always seems to prevail and who am I to go against a tested and true theory? Rachel & Phoenix and Zero Tolerance appear on the screen. Tasha Graves: Rachel and Phoenix have now dubbed themselves Fire and Ice..Will they be enough to take on Assassin and Russell Brown who seem to be on fire as a tag team? Well ok not on fire they’re just two IWF losers that work well together and so happened to catch our tag team champions Wreck and Rage on an off day at February Revolution. Thing is even though they’ve earned themselves a tag title shot they haven’t gotten back with us on whether they’re going to make the jump and go for them or not…In my opinion if you’re second rate you belong in a second rate fed. Better make your decision before Edge boys because you may not be in a mental state to do so afterwards what with the brain damage and all…I give this one to Fire and Ice. Be sure to make fun of Zero Tolerance for losing to girls. Alan Drake and Aquiro appear on the screen. Tasha Graves: I have to shake my head at this match but I suppose it had to be done. Alan Drake is sacrificial lamb to Aquiro because upper management just felt they had nobody else. Has Drake even told Rachel about this match yet? Even though Alan Drake will probably be owned by the Blood Angel Aquiro..I’m gonna give this one to Drake..wanna know why? Because I hate the IWF and Aquiro never called me back so a big fuck you to them. She smirks, extremely amused with herself. Balthazar Bane and Kellon appear on the screen. Tasha Graves: This match is probably going to be short and sweet. Kellon got lucky attacking Sensei Shredder from behind last week. But who knows she’s been a burn victim and indirectly involved in two of the most hardcore matches the SWA has ever had. Kellon might pull out a victory but I think at the end of the night she’s gonna be munching on a light tube..Balthazar Bane for the win. The screen fades and the camera shifts. She turns to face it, that same amused smile on her face. Tasha Graves: Well that’s my Edge preview and predictions. Please send all hatemail to tgraves@skyfallwrestling.com. We’re gonna wrap up the show tonight with a guest…sometimes I might do the guest first just to change things up a bit. Tonight’s guest is none other than our former resident one man anti-terrorist unit who had a tendency to beep a lot. I mean none other than Jeff Stark. Dream Evil by Dio plays and Jeff makes his way onto the set. Tasha stands and shakes his hand before gesturing to the other chair. Jeff smiles and sits down. Tasha Graves: Greetings Jeff, it’s wonderful to have you here as we haven’t seen you on SWA programming in some time… Turbulence I believe.. Jeff Stark: That’s right Tasha. It has been a while, I’ve been pretty busy with trying to get things in order healthwise, and a little training to keep in shape. Natasha nods, just taking it all in. Tasha Graves: It’s been quite the rollercoaster for you. You arrived in the SWA in April of 2006 and since then you’ve made a name for yourself using your psychosis which was derived by people saying you look like Jack Bauer or more specifically the actor that plays him, Keifer Sutherland. What caused you to decide to seek help when so many of the SWA fans liked you that way?...For some strange reason.. Jeff Stark: Well what really made me stop and think was McGoldrick’s promo. He basically said I’d never be a top competitor in the SWA with my psychosis. It really made me stop and think. I knew if I wanted to stay a great wrestler, I would have to seek help. Jeff pauses for a moment and finishes. Jeff Stark: So, I sought help. Tasha Graves: Some could argue that you were already a great wrestler. Your antics alone and with the combined effort of Kaiser and even Steve Evans at one point was definitely note worthy and the fans certainly loved it I wouldn’t be surprised if some CTU matches are up for the SWA Awards this year. I could understand why McGoldrick’s statements got to you as you’ve held no gold of your own although you’ve had many opportunities. But why let such a transparent statement by McGoldrick get under your skin when all you have to do is look at the past? Jeff Stark: Well, there’s no doubt that I was already a great wrestler..but I knew if I wanted to be better, I’d have to get help. That’s something I’ve always strived for in this industry. To be one of, if not the best. The idea to seek help was always in my mind, but McGoldrick’s statements really brought it out. Natasha nods, frowning a bit. Tasha Graves: I’m Sorry if that last question seemed a bit crude..there are some fans that feel you’re only doing this because McGoldrick hit a nerve and not because it’s in your best interest or your career’s best interest. So now that you are seeking help, what are your plans in the SWA? I’m sure they’ve been affected by this development. Jeff Stark: Well, sort of. I always wanted to aim high, and now is no different. Maybe I’ll even go for the cruiserweight title again, or maybe something else. I’m not sure yet. Tasha Graves: This Friday it seems that you have quite the match already against Jared Cage. How do you plan to defeat a man who only last Sunday defeated a man almost three times his size? Jeff Stark: Well, I watched that very match, and I must say that even with the size of Cage’s opponent, I wasn’t too impressed. I’m sure Omen was only having an off day. It was his first match, afterall. I’m sure he was more than a little nervous. But Friday, Cage will be fighting a year long member of the SWA. I will not be so easy. Now I know it was cage’s first match as well, but different people rise to the challenge where others can’t. Even though I do expect to win, I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of an opponent Cage will be. Tasha Graves: Well the battle lines have been drawn, and I’m sure that match will be a battle to remember. As always, Edge is live on Friday nights and only aired on SWA TV. I have one last question for you Jeff and then I will let you go to further train for your match. There have been rumors…call it a buzz if you will that Kaiser may be making a return to the SWA. What are your thoughts and if he does return would there be a Jeff Stark, Kaiser pairing again? Jeff Stark: But of course. I have always considered Kaiser a great friend and an equally great tag partner. If Kaiser wants to reform the team, I’ll gladly accept. Tasha Graves: And that’s all the time we have for this edition of the Wednesday Writslock. I would like to thank Jeff Stark for being here with us…Any last words you’d like to say to the viewing audience Jeff? Jeff Stark: Sure. Beep..beep..beep..beep… Jeff looks at the camera and grins. Jeff Stark: Just kidding. Tasha shakes her head and laughs. Tasha Graves: We’ll see you next week everyone. The cameras fade to black. |
