Wristlock rolls across the
screen with the song
'Spokesman' By Goldfinger is
playing. The camera pans
down and rests in front of a
desk with a high back
pleather chair. It swings
around. With Jessica Faye
sitting in it. She's leaning
to one side with her elbow
on the arm rest and the palm
of her hand supports her
cheek. She then sits upright
and faces the camera with a
bright and cheery smile.
Jessica: Welcome to the brand new Wednesday
Wristlock. I'm the new, a
lot more sober and a little
less lavish, host of the
show, Jessica Faye. I would
like to get this show off on
the right foot by thanking
Crystal and B.Cool for
allowing me to do this show.
I guess they thought it
would be best if they gave
me a hobby other then
busting Alex's, A.K.A Larell,
chops all day. But enough
about that. Here is what I
have in store for you. First
up it will be a recap of
Edge after that we will
storm right into the
predictions for the up
incoming week. Then, If I
may, take a page out of the
book of B.cool, I will hand
out my own personal Award.
The 'asshole of the week'
award. It may be for a great
thing or a just horrible
move made in the bygone week
but we will cross that
bridge when it comes. Then
we will close out the show
with an interview. So today
we have here with us on his
first interview since he had
made his appearance again in
the SWA, Russell Brown. But
first I would like to
introduce my co-host. You
all know him very well and
he is your current Extreme
Champion. Al... er....Larell.
Larell spins around in his
own chair and greets it with
a smile.
Larell: Hey what can I say I got a face made
for T.V.
Jessica: And you also got an ass made for
kicking. By me.
The two share a slightly
mean look between each
other. Jessica then looks
back at the camera.
Jessica: Okay well lets get this show going.
First off we are going to
start off with the recap of
last weeks edge.
A screen behind them
flickers to life and a
picture of Jack Sabbath and
Thundervolt appear on the
screen.
Jessica: Last week on edge we had our first
match of the night. Jack
Sabbath vs. Thundervolt.
Larell: Oh that match was signed sealed and
delivered right from the get
go. But as a fellow
Halifaxian, I was
disappointed.
Jessica: Jack Sabbath had the match under his
thumb the entire way. He
deserved to pick up the win.
Thundervolt went crazy at
the end which made him
sloppy and he lost. Face it
besides he never even cut a
promo for his match either.
Larell: Now this only adds insult to injury
but Thundervolt even after
the match he went through
more hell and was attacked
by Mister E. Which also put
him in the middle of the
father/son fight between
James and Frank.
Jessica: Although we now get a great match at
Bloodsport. Seems rather
ironic that James is in a
flaming casket match, The
very same type of match that
his gir.. Actually at this
point in time Im not sure
what to call her? Its a bit
of a tough call.
Larell: The poor little girl who is stuck in
the middle of it all,
Phoenix, and yes it is odd
that James is in a match
that Phoenix had fought and
beaten Aquiro in. Could
history be repeat once more?
The screen changes to a
picture of Kyra Peirce and
Boomer.
Jessica: When I first heard this match I
thought this was going to be
totally one sided and that
little girl was going to get
mauled.
Larell: And he did. Kyra made a huge upset
when she used the super cool
cutter to end the match and
pick up the win.
Jessica: Unfortunately Boomer is still
spiraling downwards.
Deserves it for calling me a
slut. So congratulations to
Kyra for beating him you
made me plenty happy and you
deserve a pat on the back
for a great job done.
Larell: Yeah damn shame. Oh well some ones
got to win and some ones got
to lose. Im just glad mines
over with. Look Boomer, You
and I hold some kind of kin
ship because of the
situation we were both in.
Hey I'm pulling for ya. Look
there is no where else to go
besides up. So instead of
watching the ground get
closer look up and see
what's up there. Change that
around and you will change
your luck too.
Jessica: Okay that's enough of trying to pick
him up. Seriously you really
don't think much do you.
Larell just shrugs.
The screen the changes to
Alan Drake and Damien Blake.
Jessica: This was the shortest match all
night. Alan Drake took
Damien by storm.
Larell: Hey that's just the way he works. If
your not ready for him its
just wham, bam, thank you
ma'am.
Jessica: If anything though this match would
have only to serve to see
Damien Blake tighten his
boots that much more and
hopefully have him come back
for a rematch.
Larell: That or he will take his beating and
move on. You can't focus on
just one person, Its that
way you lose sight of
things.
Jessica: That was actually rather insightful.
Larell: Yeah. I think Confucius said it.
The screen then changes to a
picture of Atomic Punk and
Behemoth.
Larell: Now this was a great match. The Big
Bastard vs. The Big Mouth.
Jessica: I wouldn't go and mouthing off just
now. This match was a great
one. Full of big hits from
great superstars and the
commentary was made that
much more colorful with our
new commish, Joe Kerr.
Larell: Yeah and it was great when she used
his move too. The look on
his face was priceless.
Sorry Joe, but she did get
you good.
Jessica: And she did earn a great victory
too. But her
relationship...Well the 'she
loves to hate him'
relationship they have will
only be that much more
interesting since she is now
also co-commissioner.
Larell: Something beautiful in that. Shared
power, Shared hatred.
The screen then displays
Ace, Jenette McGraw,
Behemoth and Alan Drake.
Larell: Now this match was thee one to watch.
Full of fist and grit. There
is not one person there that
didn't walk away with
anything less then a few
bruises.
Jessica: That I will agree with you on. If
anything Jenette took the
worse of the wear. The way
she landed after that
powerbomb seemed a little
unnatural. Hopefully she
isn't too beaten up.
Larell: Now you want to talk beaten up. I am
deeply surprised that Ace
walked away this this one.
Did you see the interview
that Doug Ferris had with
Alan? After that I though
Ace would be using the
bathroom a lot easier after
that. Even the match before
hand didn't even last long
enough for him to even pull
a muscle.
Jessica: Although I will give it to Behemoth.
He did a great job. He had
his match with A.P. then
only to roll over and face
three more superstars.
Larell: He did pull out a few dirty tricks
but in his state he earned
them and that is what help
him out so much. Besides
being the size of a Mac
truck. But we will see how
this all pans out in the end
next week.
Jessica.: And with that note we will end the
Recap and return after a
commercial break.
---Commercial break---
The scene opens in the
locker room of the True Star
James Lightening. James is
stood there in a black Iron
Maiden Number of the beast
T-shirt blue Jeans
Lightening looks at his
watch then taps it.
Lightening: Steve hurry up
in there we'll be late.
The scene cuts to Steve in
the toilet holding his nose
and looking around
frantically.
Steve: I'll out in a minute.
Lightening: Hurry up.
Steve grabs a can from out
of the bathroom cabinet the
can is read and black and as
LYNX in white letters up the
side, Steve sprays it on his
hand then smells it. Steve
smiles.
Steve: Ohhh ha ha ha.
Steve starts spraying it in
the restroom and toilet as
he does he accidentally
catches himself a few times.
Lightening: Steve hurry up.
Steve: I'm coming.
Steve stuffs the can of Lynx
back in to the cupboard as
he exists the room. James
starts sniffing.
Lightening: Dude you been
using my stuff.
Steve: No not no never man I
ain't used any thing.
Lightening: Ok lets roll.
James and Steve walk out of
the in to the hall way, as
they walk out side a young
red head production
assistant walks past and
smiles at both men James
smiles back and eyes the
girl up.
Lightening: Still got it.
The two me walk further down
the corridor and a you Latin
make up woman who looks a
lot like a young Eva
Longoria turns around and
winks at the pair as they
pass her table.
Lightening: Damn I'm good
today.
They walk further down the
corridor and there's a young
blond girl about twenty one
working on tables she turn
to James and Steve and dips
her finger in to some
whipped cream the slowly and
seductively licks it off.
James smiles and shakes his
head as they walk further
down the corridor.
Lightening: I tell you Steve
women can't resist me.
Steve: Yeah really?
Both Men turn around to see
the three women bounding
down towards them in slow
motion.
Lightening: Told ya.
All three dive on Steve
kissing him and ripping his
clothes off.
Lightening: You used my
stuff.
The screen goes black and
the words THE LYNX EFFECT
appear in large white
letters.
The scene reopens with a
battered an worn out Steve
holding himself up against
the wall, his clothes are
torn his face is covered in
lipstick kisses he moves
slowly across the wall
before hitting a door. Steve
turns his head the doors
says Women's Locker room.
Steve's eyes open really
wide as the door opens and
swarm of female arms grab
him pulling him in.
The fades to black and the
word Apply With Care appear
in white letters on the
screen.
--end of commercial break--
Larell: God Damn. If that gets Steve some
imagine what it will do for
the average man?
Jessica: as you can tell we are back.
Larell: You mean that thing is on....RIGHT
NOW......Steve, my man,
Whazzup?
Jessica just give him a
slight glance and turns. The
camera pans over with her.
Jessica: Before we do the predictions I would
like to hand out the very
first, Wristlock's '@$$hole
of the week' award. To give
you a rough breakdown of
this award its not like
B.Cool's you rule or you
suck award. This is handed
out for something that was
either a real prick move or
a tremendous feat. Which
ever weighs out the other.
It seems pretty vague right
now but with more of an
explanation it should be a
little clearer. Except this
one. Since this is the first
award to be given out it
wouldn't hurt it to be a
50/50 of either category. So
Behemoth takes away the
first award. He gets this
because it took alot out of
him and displayed why he is
a SWA superstar. No sooner
then he was beaten by A.P.
he turned around to face
three other superstars.
Although he did perform a
few heinous acts like
tripping Jeanette McGraw and
with the help of Alan
powerbombed her to the mat.
Possibly causing her an
injury that could put her
out for a while. Hopefully
not. I hope she comes back
and feeds you your own boot.
Both of you but I digress.
So Behemoth. You sir are an
Asshole. Congratulations.
Now on to next weeks
predictions.
Jessica then turns her seat
back to sit even with Larell.
Who is at this time
polishing his title. The
screen behind the two
flickers back on as the
forms of Brent Carter and
Wreck appear.
Jessica: This match I will give to Brent
Carter. He's the new blood
in this match and no doubt
he has watch the previous
matches that Wreck was in
and possibly has a strategy
planned out. No one has seen
him in action yet either and
will bring something new to
the table. So he will keep
Wreck on his toes but wont
know what's coming.
Larell: From a personal point. I'm undecided.
I have face Wreck before and
well got wrecked but after
watching some of the older
tapes ,from when I had MPD,
I did come back and take the
tag titles from Wreck and
Rage.
Jessica just rolls her eyes
as Kyra Peirce and Derek
Lavelle & Steve Evans take
to the screen.
Jessica: Just because she had a tremendous
victory over Behemoth
doesn't mean she can take on
two people at once in this
match. So I'm gonna have to
hand this one to Derek
Lavelle and Steve Evans just
because in a great view this
is a numbers match over
skill.
Larell: I'm gonna have to go against you on
this. As I had said before I
took on Wreck and Rage and
won. She may not have MPD
but Two on One matches have
been won by the single
person before and it will
happen again and again. She
has the attitude and more
then enough skill to pull
off this match. So I'm
rooting for Kyra. I have
that much faith in her, I'm
willing to bet on it.
Jessica: With what money?
Larell: Hey I'm working on getting my
paycheck back.
The forms of Russell Brown
and Paul Deatheridge come
up.
Larell: I'm gonna give this one to Russell
Brown. Just for the seer
fact that he is going to
face off with me and other
superstars at Bloodsport for
my title. So a win here will
be a good way to head into
Bloodsport and If he loses
it could still have an
impact on him later. With or
without an injury.
Jessica: This I will have to agree with you
on. The only reason though
is that Paul will use this
for fuel and pull out the
win. Nothing will set you
more for a win then being
classed as the underdog.
Next to appear on the screen
is Jack Sabbath and Joe
Kerr.
Jessica: Now this one is going to be a tough
one. Jack Sabbath did come
out of Edge last week with a
win, So he is probably
feeling plenty good right
about now. All I can expect
out of him though is nothing
short of one hell of a
fight. On a final note he
may be more then willing to
give Joe Kerr a run for his
money then only to ask for
another match for his belt.
If he gets that lead watch
out. The only thing that
could even give the
slightest advantage is that
Hell cat is the ref and if
they get on her bad side
that side might be her blind
side too.
Larell: Then we got Joe Kerr in the other
corner. He's going to want
to show A.P. up too this
week like she did that last
but he's the new commish and
has the SWA title to his
credit. It took him way to
much fighting and biting for
him to give any slack now.
If anything though he can be
one mean, scary ass clown
when he wants to be. He did
bare his fangs against
B.cool and now look at where
he sits.
The screen changes and now
holds Todd O’Hara, Behemoth
and Alan Drake.
Jessica: As much as I hate the guy. I'm gonna
have to go with Behemoth.
This time around he's going
to be fresh and revitalized.
I can see that with the
brutality that he had
displayed int he first part
that is only going to double
this time around. If these
guys want to have any chance
of taking this away from him
it would to be in their best
interest to take him out
first. If they leave him be
for to long it would be the
end of them both.
Larell: I would have to beg to differ. I'm
going with Alan Drake. He
and Behemoth both got along
half well in the first
match. That is because I
think they have a mutual
respect for one another and
the talent they both posses.
I'm sorry Todd if we had a
third here I imagine they
would be backing you up but
Alan will do nothing short
of anything to make sure
that he has this win. He
could possible team up with
Todd for the first part of
the match but that wont be
before they run it as
singles first. Alan would be
counting on that to make
sure that the other two have
a fair notch taken out of
them. Then again we are only
focusing on the fan
favorites really. Who knows
Todd could sneak up from
behind and steal it from
them both. That's the
trouble with these matches
you have two other people in
the ring with you and they
are not going to be your
friend for that time period
either.
Jessica: Well said and with that well get to
our interview with Russell
Brown.
Larell gets up and walks
over to two sets of chairs
under a spot light. One
white and one black with a
small round coffee table
between them. Russel brown
currently resides in the
black Larell then takes his
seat in the white. In a
friendly gesture Larell
pulls out a pack of smokes
and offers Russell one.
Russell sticks out his hand
and shakes his head 'no'.
Larell adjusts himself and
looks towards him.
Larell: Well, First I’m going to start things
off with what’s most likely
asking. Why have you
returned to the SWA? What
motivated you to do so?
Russell Brown: Well you see Larell; I have
come back to the SWA because
I feel like my time in the
SWA isn’t quite up yet. I
feel like I have a lot left
to prove, I mean yes the
last time I was here; I
flaked. But over the time I
have been gone I realized
that I need to get back in
the ring and if it was going
to be any ring, it was going
to be an SWA ring. Basically
knowing that everybody
thinks that I’m nothing and
have amounted to nothing is
really driving me for
success here in the SWA and
that also drove me back here
into the SWA to prove to
everybody else that I’m “The
Rising Star” and it’s not
just a name that was given
to me, it’s a name that I
earned.
Larell: Upon your return are there any goals
that you set yourself to?
What’s the biggest impact
that you hope to make since
your return?
Russell Brown: I think the number one goal
for any wrestler or any
competitor is to win. I know
what its like to win in any
wrestling industry but I
really don’t know the
consistency here in the SWA
and that’s something that I
want to feel and something
that I want to accomplish.
Another thing is that I want
to become a champion again,
of course that championship
is the Skyfall Championship
but I will start off this
Friday by winning the SWA
Anarchy Championship and
then go into Bloodsport with
one title around my waist
and then win my second
championship, that title
being the Extreme
Championship. The biggest
impact that I want to make
is to prove everybody that
I’m not just a guy you can
push around, I want to come
in and make statements week
in and week out.
Larell: Now with the few polite questions out
of the way. What’s your take
on the SWA now compared to
when you left. Such as Frank
Leesburg, the firing of a
slew of wrestlers such as
Razor, Undine and the last
commish Crazy Crazy Millar?
Russell Brown: Personally I think the SWA has
become better because
wrestlers such as Razor and
Undine they made wrestling
kind of pitiful and
depressing by the way they
acted when they would lose
or win and that’s just by
cutting themselves. But I
really didn’t watch them at
all because they were pale,
bloody and just straight up
nasty. As for Crazy, I think
Crazy has made the biggest
mistake of his life by going
up against the SWA and I
wish him luck because he’s
going to need it. Crazy
there is no place better
than the SWA, you know it
and we all know. Once you
fail at your next goal you
will be on Crystal’s porch
in Columbus pleading for
your job back! Last but not
least we have Frank, Frank
is a tough guy so he seems
but other than that I really
don’t know much about him
because I haven’t been
around long enough to talk
to him or hear about him.
But I’m sure I will hear my
stories of him.
Larell: Since we touched on the commissioner.
How do you feel about Joe
Kerr being the commissioner
and actually having some
pull in the company now?
Russell Brown: I love the fact that the
wrestlers here in the SWA
get a shot at kind of
running the shots around
here but I know it plays
into their advantage.
Especially for our current
commissioner; Joe Kerr! I
mean Joe is the Skyfall
Champion so I’m sure he
could assign ways to get
himself out of matches to
help him rest up for his
more important matches such
as his Skyfall Championship
belt on the line. Other than
that I guess its kind of a
good thing that we have
wrestlers in control because
they can make matches that
they want to see and not
only for themselves but for
the fans also. I mean what
would we do without the
fans?
Larell: No with politic out of the way. After
coming back and seeing some
new talent is there anyone
in particular that you’re
keeping your eye on?
Russell Brown: No matter where I’m at or what
I’m doing, I keep my eye on
everybody because if you
take your eye of one person,
that one person is going to
be the one that attacks you
and wants a piece at you so
I would have to say that I
usually don’t watch anybody
except for maybe my
opponents.
Larell: No that we covered people you watch,
who should watch out for
you?
Russell Brown: I think my opponent Paul
Deathridge should watch out
for this Friday because Paul
you know that I’m going to
beat you, you’re just to
afraid to admit it but its
ok I will show the world
this Friday that I can beat
you and it will be all ok
because it doesn’t hurt to
lose to me; Russell Brown. I
also think my opponents in
the Extreme Timed Battle
Royal should watch out
because I have been in that
match before and I know
what’s going to happen
besides the fact I’m going
to win. Other than that I
think everybody is pretty
good because I take each
match that I’m given and
work my best at it.
Larell: Now just so you can stroke your ego
some. If there was one word
you would use to describe
you what would it be and
why?
Russell Brown: One word that would describe
me is confident. No matter
who I’m up against I always
have the confidence that I
could go in and beat that
person, no matter how big or
how small, I just believe
that I can do it and most
times I do it.
Larell: Now to end things on a lighter note.
Can you take us through an
average day of Russell
Brown?
Russell Brown: An average day for me is to
wake up around 8 or 9 AM,
get a cup of coffee and just
sit around the house, hotel,
wherever I’m at. Most times
I’m watching some promos on
SWA TV or something about
sports but after my coffee I
eat some breakfast, go run
around the city,
neighborhood or wherever I’m
at, I just run there. When I
get back, I shower and then
head of to the weight room
where I do some of course
weightlifting and then after
that I go to my trainers and
work hard on increasing my
wrestling skills because no
matter how experienced you
are or how good you are, you
always need work in the
ring. After that I go back
to the hotel or house and
get another meal in me and
then shower. I might take a
nap or get a few promos.
When the evening hours roll
around I’m either writing,
reading or out on a date.
But usually on Fridays and
Sunday nights, I’m in that
ring kicking ass.
Larell: Okay I lied on last question and its
a real tough one. How do you
think you will beat me and
take my title?
Russell Brown: Larell it’s tough to say how
I’m going to beat you but I
know I’m going to do it but
then again you might not
even be the champion in this
timed battle royal. I mean
you might have already been
pinned or somebody else
might already have the belt,
who knows but all I’m saying
is that after Bloodsport you
won’t be walking out the
Extreme Champion, I will be!
But Larell it’s been nice
here on the Wristlock but I
better go and champ your
days are numbered…see you at
Bloodsport!
Larell: Not if I seen you first.
As Russell Brown leaves.
Larell stands up and looks
towards the camera.
Larell: Okay folks. To really finish off the
new Wristlock were gonna do
some really special. These
no ribbon to cut or a
champagne bottle to break.
But we do have this.
Larell sits in an oddly
familiar pink couch.
Larell: We have here the last god awful eye
sore that still sits in here
and the damn thing wont fit
through the door. But I have
an idea that will make this
couch in to a much more
manageable way.
Larell reaches into his back
pocket and produces a small
can of lighter fluid. He
sprays it all over the pink
abomination.
Larell: First Crazy's office and now this.
People are going to think
I'm a pyro-manaic.
He pulls out a small blow
torch and ignites it. He
smiles for a moment as he
walks towards the couch.
Then he stops. He grins even
wider. The he turns out the
torch and walks towards the
camera and then past it. The
camera swings to follow him
as he grabs Crystal, Who was
present to watch the filming
of the new episode, by the
hand and drags her over to
the couch. He ignites the
flame once more.
Larell: Care to do the honors?
With out a word or any
hesitation Crystal grabs the
torch and holds the flame to
the right arm of the sofa
and carries it along the
back side and down the other
arm. She lets out a simple
joyous laugh and then puts
the flames to the cushions.
In a matter of a few moments
the couch is a giant blaze.
The sprinkler system turns
on but not in enough to save
the couch from its demise.
All that is left is a
charred frame and springs
with some pink dyed bits of
foam that lay half burnt and
smoldering.
Larell: That's all we have for you tonight
folks now get the hell out
here.
The Wristlock emblem over
takes the scene of a smoking
pink sofa. |
