The SWA logo flashes across
the screen before the show
begins. Soon enough, Right
Side of the Bed by Atreyu is
heard as the camera is now
viewing the Wednesday
Wristlock set. The strobe
lights begin to flash and
fog erupts from the the
corners of the room. When
all the fog has risen, out
walks Mark Ventor with his
SWA Championship and SWA Tag
Team Championship on either
shoulder. With his classic
pair of shades on, he walks
onto the set and has a seat
on the usual black couch.
When the music stops, Ventor
begins to speak.... Ventor: Hello everyone, and welcome to another edition of The Wednesday Wristlock. I am your host Mark Ventor. For everyone out there that has been watching, over the past month a lot has been going on in the SWA. With the recent kidnapping of Crystal, this caused B. Cool to get into a very depressed state of mind. All thanks to the Coalition of a Darker Future, tensions have been high between B. Cool and the rest of the Collective, including myself. Luckily, Crystal has recently escaped of out the CDF basement. The question is, is this going to be a happy ending for B. Cool and Crystal?? I guess time will tell. Ventor shrugs and takes a sip of water from his water bottle. Ventor: Now, I know usually B. Cool likes to do this on his show, but we are going to have a little SWA News. Why? Because there is simply so much happening. First off, I want to talk about the SWA Hardcore Championship. This title is now fought for 24/7. That is right! As long as you knock out the Hardcore Champion and have a referee by your side, you can become the new champion anywhere, at anytime you would like. As you saw this week, I took advantage of this, and held onto the title for a good few days. Kaiser took this title away from me, but I can assure you, I am going to get that title back once again. Hopefully soon, but we will see how much time I have. Oh, and on a side note. This title is not called the Hardcore Title....it has a brand new name. The Skyfall Xtreme Championship. Pretty badass sounding name, huh? I thought so too. He shakes his head in approval before continuing... Ventor: Next up, we need to talk about a recent release in the SWA. Matt Kraven has been released from his SWA contract. Word has it that his attitude problem backstage has gotten the best of him. Oh well. I am not all that concerned about it, as well as many other people. He challenged me for my SWA Championship, but I knew deep down that he wasn't Championship material. These backstage reports on his bad behavior just proves it. Another arrogant ass is fired, and sent right where he belongs. On the street, begging for some change. Let's move on. On the flip side of things, we have the return of an old SWA superstar! In the background, The Brawler's theme begins to play! Ventor: Hooray!! Yes, The Brawler is back in the SWA, and most likely back for good. If he is back for good, who knows what is going to happen. Surely, this won't make Crystal very happy. If The Brawler gets back into B. Cool's life, this could surely start up some problems. But, on another note, The Brawler has his return match this week on Edge, in the main event. We will talk about that in a little bit. Lastly, I want to talk about Aggression. Well, actually, there isn't all that much to talk about. Other than, it is cancelled. SWA management felt that the show was no longer needed, since we already had Edge and Unplugged. Having Aggression served as a third wheel and nothing more, I guess you could say. Well, that is it. No more SWA news to report as of now. And now, the Edge Report. Vent leans back into his couch a bit... Ventor: To start off this edition of Thursday Night Edge, we will open it up with what I think of as a great match in the making. McGoldrick will be facing off against Cedro Martinez. This match is going to be well fought out, without any question in my mind. The bad blood between these two all started off a week ago, when McGoldrick blind-sided and won the Xtreme Championship from Cedro Martinez, using the 24/7 rule to his advantage. Cedro was the opposite of thrilled at this, and is going to whatever he can in his power to get his revenge on Edge. McGoldrick has good fighting experience, but he will still have to keep his eyes open at all times. I am sure we will see both of these men feuding for the Xtreme Title in the near future. Next up, a tag team match will take place. The Coalition For A Darker Future, Bobcat and Juggernaut, will take on the debuting tag team of the Star Brothers. So far, the Star Bros. have said a lot of stuff, especially about myself. We are going to see if these guys are all talk, and no show. Maybe they will surprise me, but the Coalition has shown over the past few weeks that they mean business. If the Star Bros. think they are going to get a shot at any of my titles, consider themselves dead wrong. Well, actually, let me be generous. If they happen to win against CDF, maybe....just maybe....B. Cool and myself will defend the Tag Team titles against him. That, however, is pushing it. Let's not get anymore sidetracked here. After that, I will have my classic Edge talk show, The Vent!! It will be the contract signing between B. Cool and Bobcat for their big match at the PPV, Maelstrom. As you all know already, I think it will be hard for these two not to make this a physical encounter. I will have to seperate these two as much as possible, but I am only one man. There is only so much I can do. Then, we have another big single's match taking place. It is yet another debut. New SWA superstar Jeff Stark will take on the current Skyfall Xtreme Champion, Kaiser, in a non-title match. The only time I have actually witnessed this superstar was during a verizon commercial during one of our breaks. I don't know what this guy is capable of in the ring, but all I know is that he is hilarious already. Then again, Kaiser is funny too with his myspace shananagans. Perhaps this will be a battle of humor? We will have to see. A handicap is next on the card list. It will be Matt Kraven's final match. He will be taking on both Ironbite and Aquiro in a handicap match. This is a sucktacular last match to be in, to tell you the truth. The way I see it, this could be a big opportunity for Matt Kraven. If he happens to win against both superstars, he will have proven that he can in fact back up what he says. Who knows...if he does get the upset on Thursday, maybe the SWA will reconsider terminating his contract for putting on a stellar match. And finally, the match you have all been waiting patiently for. It will be the debut of a superstar against the return of a superstar. Jeremy Youngblood will have his first match agaisnt the former SWA Champion, The Brawler. Will the Brawler live up to his own hype? Or will Youngblood get the victory? What a great main event that should be. Ventor crosses his odds, nodding once again... Ventor: That, my friends, is it. That is Thursday Night Edge, in its entirety. Folks, it has been a great show so far, but what better way than to end off with a guest? The Figurehead has managed to get another excellent SWA superstar. We will ask him questions about his future in the SWA, as well as his predictions on the upcoming Edge card. Ladies and gentlemen, I give to you my guest right now. Ace!! "I Dissapear" by Metallica begins to play aloud as Ace makes his way onto the set. Once he gets near the couch, Vent stands up and extends his hand for a shake. The two shake hands and proceed to sit down. Ace's music cuts out. He nods his head in greeting to Ventor, as he's settling onto the couch despite the fact that they had already shaken hands. Ace: So, here I am. I would say one thing first. I am impressed by your convictions at least, and what you have managed through them. However, even you, as the figurehead you proclaim yourself shall be eventually cloaked in the shroud of darkness. Though, if I were prone to jokes. I would say something about your psychic predicting skills. Ventor raises an eyebrow. Ventor: Physic predicting skills? Oh, that's right. I saw your promo tape whining about that. What exactly did you say again? I didn't quite pay attention. Vent giggles as Ace begins to answer. Ace starts to speak, but then only grins. Lifting his arms up, to pull through his hair. Before dropping them down to his side, at rest. Ace: So, are you going to sit there giggling like a school girl, or are we going to begin this interview? Ventor: Wow, I thought my voice was low. You may need to get your hearing checked. Let's move on, Mr. Ace. How do you like your stay in the SWA so far? Ace: "Well. I did not say that you were a very attractive-sounding schoolgirl, I only implied that you were giggling like one. I suppose that is enough of that though. As to your question, I am impressed by the convictions that some show in their own ideals, and that they have the strength and presence of will to follow through with them in some cases, even if they are the wrong ones. I can respect that, and it will be well for them when they are shown the dark. Well for all of you. Ventor: I see. Since you are a somewhat new guy on the SWA scene, please tell the fans out there watching what your plans are going to be in the upcoming weeks? Ace: "The fans? Yes. There is something of a fascination amongst you all with entertaining them. Well, if that is there wish then perhaps I can grant them the desire. I have a little idea for a match, I was going to speak about it before, but I thought I would propose the idea here and leave it open for anyone who wanted to take it up. Something of a street fight, which is hardly a new thing. But an alley battle, in the dead of the night. Where shadows can hide your opponent. In that darkness, it would provide an extra little tool. Not to mention the scene itself I am sure would be enough to get the interest for . . the fans Ventor smiles and shakes his head in agreement. Ventor: Sounds like a battle to me. Maybe you should challenge someone. Ace tilts his head a little to one side, as if in thought. Ace: I am usually content to let my opponents be chosen for me. I have no problem with whoever it might be that I fight. You have a tool something along those lines, do you not? A wheel as I understand it, if you would not be untoward to the idea. Your wheel could dictate fate and who I will challenge. Ventor grins again. Ventor: Wow, Ace. Just full of awesome ideas today, huh? We will get the V-Wheel set up in just a little bit. While that is being set up, let's go back to the same subject. I realise you said that the opponent really doesn't matter, but if you had to choose one, or a few, which SWA superstar would you like to battle in the ring against, and why? Ace: If I had to choose, then I would likely say to begin with the first two opponents I had upon entering the federation. The reason is simple, I did not win against . . There is something of a pause, before he actually speaks names. It would be noteworthy that he has been rather specific about not mentioning any up unto this point in any of his promos. Ace: Boomer or Ace Static. Though I suppose those failings could be mended at any time. Though sooner would be better than later. Other than that there are a few others, but perhaps one that might stand out is this . . Dante Inferno. Something about him just makes me wish to put my fist in his face. Perhaps it is his false callings, but generally I seek any who show a certain strength. I look forward to facing any who has proven that, as stated. You have impressed me as well, so I look forward to a day when I might face you. Call it respect if you like, some do. Ventor: Well, I don't have a doubt in my mind that we will be facing sometime in the future. It should definitely be an interesting match, no doubt. Anyway, guess what? The V-Wheel is all set up. Time to find out who your opponent is going to be. You want to do the honors? The two walk over to the V-Wheel. Ace dips his head in a nod and stands, moving on over to the wheel. Which he then reaches out to, giving it one quick strong spin. Stepping back then to watch and await the outcome. It slowly ends on the label marked "Behemoth!" Ventor faces lightens up in disbelief. Ventor: Wow! Looks like you got your hands full there! Ace only lets his head tilt a little to one side, but his features do not shift or waver. He only turns, nodding his head at first in seeming acceptance of the words before he speaks. Ace: Yes, it should be rather . . interesting indeed. The opponent is chosen though, and it is my duty to show him the path. In this place, in this type of battle. He may find that size does not help too much in the dark. Some of the largest men, quiver in fear at the thought of the onsetting shroud of black. I will not hesitate to make use of it. Ventor: There you go, folks. It will be Ace taking on Behemoth in a Nighttime Street Fight Match, on the next edition of Edge. Now, Ace, I would like to move on to the last part of our show. It is time for Ace to give his predictions on the matches taking place tomorrow night. Ace: "Predictions, hmm? I must admit, I am no psychic. However, weighing it based on observations these would be my thoughts. Single's Match: Cedro Martinez vs. McGoldrick Ace: While it could be a close one I would have to guess that Martinez will take the win in this one. Tag Team Match: Star Brothers vs. Juggernaut and Bobcat Ace: Well, I have had no chance to truly observe the brothers. I will have to go with Bobcat and Juggernaut though, because they are willing to use whatever tactic is necessary to claim victory as has been obvious over the past. They are not the cleanest of tacticians, but the tactics obviously worked for them then and likely will now. Single's Match: Jeff Stark vs. Kaiser Ace: I will have to go with Kaiser on this one, despite his rather strange demeanor of sorts he does seem to possess the strength to see his convictions through. Handicap Match: Matt Kraven vs. Aquiro and Ironbite Ace: Well, somehow I cannot see Aquiro and Ironbite as being a very cohesive unit. It could very well be their downfall, but I believe they still will manage to win it. Single's Match: Brawler vs. Jeremy Youngblood Ace: All that I know of these has come from previous recordings. I will give the win to Brawler though, the experience will surely win out there. Ventor: Some good predictions there by SWA Superstar Ace. Ace, we are about to wrap this show up, but a quick question needs to be asked. Any last minute comments or thoughts? Ace: Nothing more than my usual. Any can cling to the light as long as they wish, without even knowing it. Eventually the shadow will catch up to them, because the darkness never disappears. It will have you all. So speak I, the messenger. Ventor: Again, tune in after the PPV for a match between Ace and Behemoth. That is for sure going to be brutal. For Ace, I am Mark Ventor. This has been another great edition of the Wednesday Wristlock. Goodnight, folks!! "Right Side of the Bed" by Atreyu begins to play once again as Ace and Vent shake hands again. The SWA logo flashes and the scene fades to black... |
