"Comatose" by
Skillet begins to play as we
open on the traveling
Wristlock studios once more.
Dressed in her usual
professional attire, Mieke
is at her seat and and once
again there's another chair
set across from hers. The
music begins to fade out as
we zoom in and she greets
everyone.
Mieke: Welcome to
the Wristlock again
everyone. We've got a rather
serious piece of business to
start off with here. I'm
sure you all remember the
kidnapping of Thomas Von
Karstein, and all know my
thoughts on the matter by
now. And I'm sure you all
remember Dr. Jademore,
previously known to us all
all as his Speaker being in
the middle of it. Now, it
was brought to my attention
that she has some important
information to shed on this
whole matter. So ladies and
gentlemen, please welcome
Dr. Jademore.
She enters the
scene, dressed in a nice
white combo with skirt, her
black hair straight and
falling over her shoulders.
Carrying a folder she nods
to Mieke. She looks calm and
business like, despite the
cold eyes.
Dr. Jademore:
Thank you.
Mieke nods her
head slightly in
acknowledgment.
Mieke: It's no
problem, I think we're all
anxious to hear what you
have to say. So, if you'd
like to take a seat feel
free to go ahead. Maybe
start by giving everyone a
bit of background on who you
are, and what exactly your
relationship to Thomas is.
She clears her
throat ever so gently, and
gives Dr. Jademore a glance
after doing so which seems
to be her way of reminding
her that calling Thomas her
"pet" might not be the best
idea if she wants to state
her case to the viewing
audience. Needless to say,
Dr. Jademore was one of
those guests who needed
quite a bit of prep work
before the broadcast.
Jademore nods
again and takes her seat,
not showing any reaction
what so ever to the glance.
She composes herself for a
moment to gather her
thoughts by taking a deep
breath. Then she speaks with
a clam voice, that actually
isn’t unpleasant to hear.
Dr. Jademore: My
name is Marelyn Jademore. I
have Doctor titles in
psychology, neuroscience,
physiology and hypnosis. I’m
also a doctor for normal
medicine. I come from a
wealthy business family, my
father being the head of
multiple companies and
organizations. Which
guaranteed high education,
but not much love.
She pauses for a
moment, a dramatic pause.
Jademore: And my
relationship with the man
you know as Thomas von
Karstein is that I was in
charge of the experiment
that he was part of. An
experiment to shape a human
into something of our
choosing, an illegal human
experiment. I’m basically
his mother or what comes
closest to that. I raised
him, I supervised his
conditioning and treatment.
I created Thomas von Karstein.
The expression on
Mieke's face is hardly an
approving one, but she does
her best to stay
professional.
Mieke: So, how
does this all tie into what
happened at Altitude? Why
allow him to work here, then
show up to take him all of a
sudden?
Dr. Jademore:
Well we fell victim to our
own conspiracy. You see we
all posed as his helpers to
keep up the finely
constructed world and
ourselves out of the public
eye. So we could not openly
force him to not work here.
And for some still unknown
reason, any suggestion, any
hypnotic input that we
tried, to get him away had
no effect. So we had to go
along and hope that he would
eventually have enough of
this place, with the risk
that it could shatter his
constructed mind. Through
the events taking place this
happen as we feared, without
us knowing of the matter. In
that time he played us
possum and tried to find
ways out of the situation.
Then one of my co workers
sold the control words to
Seth Blitzer and he took
charge of Thomas. And the
founder of the project gave
him permission. Only after
Thomas was freed for good by
Kyra he ordered us to
retrieve Thomas at any cost.
That is how the happenings
on Altitude came to be. We
had no other way to catch
him anymore, since he stayed
with the Lavelles all the
time. As you know breaking
into a house is illegal.
What we did on the show we
were able to sell as
storyline of the company.
Because of the nature of the
event.
Mieke: I'll
assume that miscalculation
on how it would be perceived
is due to your outsider
perceptions of wrestling. As
we don't have "storylines"
here, this isn't WWE or one
of those companies which
operates with that hokey "we
make movies" crap. We offer
a different, authentic,
brand of professional
wrestling here in the SWA.
But that's a different story
for a different time. As for
Thomas, it's clear you have
a different set of morals
and ethics than me, or most
of our viewers at home.
You've done highly illegal
things, which you've
admitted to, and spilled top
secret information. Why
exactly are you telling us
all of this?
Jademore raises
an eyebrow at Mieke as she
talks about the storylines.
But she doesn’t say
anything. Instead she
answers the question. Her
voice is not as calm as
before. She sounds like she
regrets what happened. Not
to much but just a bit to
make it believeble that she
admits her faults and sees
the wrongs.
Dr. Jadmore: I
want to free Thomas, who is
now in the hands of a new
team of specialists. I don’t
know what they will do to
him. I’m responsible for
what happened to him since
he was a baby. And it has to
stop now. We tortured him
enough. I want to make sure
he is finally his own man.
That he can live free. No
more experiments. No more
mind conditioning. I came to
the SWA, because I know here
are people that care about
him. I also want to go
before court with what I
know. And for that I need
also the SWA and the
contract Thomas had. I
accept that I have to go to
jail, and I will do that. As
long as I’m sure that it
frees Thomas. We did
terrible wrongs to him and
it’s time to face the
punishment for it.
She pauses,
composing herself.
Dr. Jademore:
It’s important to tell the
public these things. To work
against their rumor
propaganda. That’s why I’m
here today. She looks
determined and honest at
this point.
Mieke doesn't
really believe Dr.
Jademore's intentions are
that honest, which may show
slightly in her expression,
but says nothing.
Mieke: There's
going to be a lot of people
who have their thoughts with
Thomas now. I imagine you
have quite a bit of hard
evidence and proof of all
this then? I'm sure there
are going to be some people
watching skeptical of all
this, but if you're prepared
to go to court, I'd imagine
you've got some pretty
damning evidence besides
just your word.
She know Dr.
Jademore does as she'd been
filled in, but was using
this more as a segway for
the Doctor to explain that
she does for people at home.
Jademore nods and
shows the folder to the
camera. It zooms on it,
since there is a title on
the folder. "Research on
artificial personality
building" "Project:
Nosferatu" The camera after
a moment zooms back to show
both women.
Dr. Jademore: As
head of the actual process I
have files. Working progress
reports. Financial
transfers. Empolymentlists.
Everthing you could think
of.
She opens the
folder and holds up some
papers. We see photo of a
pale baby on a metal table.
Dr. Jademore:
Everything was documented
from the point he was
delivered to us, after he
was kidnapped as a baby.
What kind of methods were
used and how often. Examples
would be Electroshock
therapies, dark room
treatments and subliminal
messages. What medications
and drugs like Flunitrazepam
or LSD were used. The
hypnotic sessions where we
created his mind from
scratch, or tore it down.
Physical modifications, like
his teeth and eyes. She puts
the papers back and takes
others out.
Dr. Jademore: I
have the name of every
person involved in this
project. From the door guard
to my father who was the
project founder and the man
you saw on the screen when
Thomas got kidnapped. I also
got lists of the companies
that are involved, including
Ark Technologies. I have
these files unknown to them.
Of course a lot of it is
signed under my name, but
there are others also.
She shows some
more papers to the camera so
people can verify for
themselves what she is
saying. We see name lists,
some with known doctors in
the field on it. Pictures of
a pale child that looks as
if it was in a trance. It
could be Thomas as a child.
We see disturbing medical
titles given as it seems to
horrible treatments. She
doesn’t show the camera
much. Only glimpses and
short. But what she shows is
real and scary enough.
She puts
everything back into the
folder.
Dr. Jademore: I
have all the evidence I
need. And I can testify to
all of it.
She nods with
confidence. Mieke for her
part has a grim, rather
disturbed look on her face.
Mieke: Harrowing
stuff, truly disgusting. Was
there anything else you
needed to share with us
today?
Jademore looks
into the cameras now.
Appealing and serious.
Dr. Jademore: I
appeal to all viewers and
the SWA stars who consider
themselves Thomas friends.
You all can help us freeing
him. The fans with public
votes and attention. The
more the public knows about
this, the more pressure is
put on those responsible.
And the stars by testifying
anything you might know when
asked to. I know there are
some on this roster who know
more about this. Every
single witness report can
further our case. I think I
speak for us all that we
want to see those
responsible punished,
including me. But it also is
a matter of freeing Thomas
before they can hurt him
more. So please think about
Thomas. Keep him in your
thoughts.
She pauses for a
moment.
Dr. Jademore:
Thank you.
Jademore nods
thankful to Mieke and then
leaves the scene, her work
done for the moment.
Mieke: It's a
rather abrupt change after
subject matter of that
nature I know, but we do
need to get on with the show
now and take a look back at
Edge. The show opened with
some stupid crap from Gidget,
more of the usual attention
whoring garbage from him
with an "announcement" that
he wasn't going to be there.
See, he heard Brazil and
thought he was supposed to
get a Brazilian wax instead!
Oh that wacky Gidget! Get
it? Ahahahahaha!
After that
incredibly sarcastic display
she shrugs her shoulders.
Mieke: Well at
least Jerry found it funny,
big surprise there I know.
Then we had Catalina South
come out with a translator
for a promo, long story
short, she wants to build
herself up in the Xtreme
Division, and asked for an
Xtreme Rules match this
week. Can't complain about
that, the division could use
some people who are
committed to staying in it,
and a good hardcore match is
always fun to see. Then we
had our opener, where Scott
Calhoun after staying silent
the whole week decided, got
dismantled in short order by
JR of all people. Needless
to say he is no longer with
the SWA, just another lazy
bastard who talks about
heart and hard work, yet the
effort he puts into actually
doing his job properly shows
the complete opposite. And
while we're on that subject,
I've heard rumblings there
could be some more releases
to come, so stay tuned
there. People had best be on
their A game and not take
their spot here for granted.
Oh, and I'd be remiss if I
forgot to mention that one
kid behind the announce desk
who was yelling quite loudly
the whole time. Her
reactions obviously varying
from match to match, as she
didn't seem quite as
familiar with some of the
wrestlers as others. I know
it may have gotten a bit
grating for the announcers,
but I actually do like
seeing fans that
enthusiastic and energetic
about the show they're
seeing. Now, our second
match wasn't even a match.
Instead we had quite the
amusing display with the
newcomer Thespian man
dressed up like an apple,
and a very confused Kyla
trying to eat him. Those two
are definitely a couple of
special customers, but I did
find it all highly
entertaining.
She chuckles
slightly.
Mieke: And up
next, Lance and Russell did
manage to overcome Team
Swiss despite the fact that
Russell seemed completely
oblivious to the fact that
his partner hated him. I
will give Lance credit, he
showed some good focus to
not let that drag him down
and he showed some nice
aggression out there.
Granted it was only against
Team Swiss, who haven't
really show much of anything
in the ring, but I will give
him credit where it's due
for that at least. Now to
see how he fares against
tougher competition, and if
Russell can get any momentum
going from being on the
winning side. Alex Shade
made quick work of Royal
after that, and I do have to
say it was rather
uncharacteristic to see
Royal not say anything at
all. I thought maybe he'd
try to take out his
frustrations here on Alex,
but perhaps he was so
focused on Behemoth it took
his head completely out of
things. I will say that Alex
seemed to take what I said
about how he or Peter should
retire or something if they
lost their matches at
Maelstrom out of context, as
I was simply illustrating a
point as to how much of a
pushover each of those
matches should have been.
Perhaps he was still a bit
frustrated about his setback
when trying to recall what I
had said, which would
certainly be understandable.
Nobody is ever going to
doubt his resiliency, unless
it's an opponent just saying
it to try to get in his
head. I certainly don't
think he's washed up or past
it, but I do stand by what I
did say afterwards about
what he should work on
before he thinks about going
for a title. And finally, we
had one hell of a Main Event
with Ventor just eeking out
a victory over B Cool using
a clever reversal. It was
truly a great technical
battle between two legends
with a storied history
against each other, and
could have gone either way.
Certainly everything you
should expect from a match
like that, and both men put
in a great performance. Now,
let's take a look ahead to
this week.
The Edge Graphic
flashes on the screen,
followed by graphics of
Russell Brown, Sherman
Witicker, and several Oompa
Loompas who will serve as
the lumberjacks for the
match.
Mieke: Clearly
another brainchild of our
Commissioner here, perhaps a
way of paying tribute to
Gene Wilder's birthday this
Friday with the Wonka
reference? Certainly not the
first time she's employed
Oompa Loompas as we heard
Riz mention at the SWA
Christmas Party, but I'll
actually say this could be
an entertaining spectacle.
Much more so than a Mystery
Box On A Pole match. And
I'll take Sherman to pull
out the win here, as while I
could see either man doing
so in their oblivious
nature, I think Russell is
much more likely to say
something that will piss off
the Loompas and cause them
to all gang up to beat the
crap out of him.
We then see a
graphic for Catalina South
vs. Damien Blake in an
Xtreme Rules match.
Mieke: I'm going
to go with Catalina here, I
think this newcomer has the
tenacity and skills to go
some places. Plus, she was
the one who asked for an
Xtreme match so you know
she'll be ready for it.
Blake is an enigma as to how
much effort you'll actually
see from him from week to
week. Hopefully we see some
good action here though, and
some serious bloodshed.
That graphic is
replaced with one for Legion
vs. McGoldrick.
Mieke: In this
one it's a tough call as
McGoldrick's past couple of
wins aren't really that
impressive given who he
faced. But neither are the
two wins Legion has under
his belt. I think I'm going
to say that McGoldrick's
aggression carries him
through here, as he seems
really fired up here, and
genuinely so as opposed to
some instances in the past
where it hasn't seemed that
way. I'm not sure how Legion
will handle a veteran like
him to be honest as well, as
his only match so far
against a really experienced
veteran saw him tapping out
like a bitch to Riz.
We then see a
graphic for Stephanie Frost
vs. Alex Shade.
Mieke: It's an
interesting dynamic here as
Stephanie is a real shark
who has shown what she can
do when she smells blood
like there could be with
Alex here. But, Alex is also
someone who has show he can
really get fired up and put
in a great showing when he's
got people doubting him.
Ultimately I'm going to say
Stephanie gets the win here
though. She's going to be
fired up after that
Mantracker match where she
came so close to winning
despite being out of her
element. And it seems like
she always ends up bouncing
back strong after she
suffers a setback, so I am
going to take her to win.
This should be a close one
though.
Finally we see a
graphic for Dirk and Billy
vs. Team Swiss.
Mieke: This match
is so ridiculous, I'm sorry.
Why is it that Dirk and
Billy always seem to end up
having these people mad at
them for the most goofy
reasons? Out of all the
people Team Swiss blame for
how they're perceived, or
think they're perceived,
they choose them? They
should take care of business
as usual, I don't think this
new supposedly more
bloodthirsty Team Swiss will
be much more effective
against them. Never say
never I guess though, all
that good stuff. And let's
see if we have time to
squeeze some mailbag
questions in here now.
She grabs her
piece of paper with the
mailbag questions on them
and begins to read.
Mieke: Orlando
from Cincinnati writes in
and wants to know ....
She sighs,
placing a hand on her
forehead.
Mieke: Really
guys? You've had two weeks
away from this to handpick
some good questions and you
give me one of a guy asking
where the mailbag has been
the past two weeks? Can we
please get a new production
team for this show? I'm
pretty sure I already
explained both cases, now
... moving on.
Exasperated, she
takes a look down at the
next one.
Mieke: And Zack
from Boston writes in with
our other question. He wants
to know if I've ever
considered having Sherman
Witicker as a guest on the
show. Well, he hadn't been
on the radar as one, but if
I go around and see more
fans like you who want to
see him on here I'm sure I
could make that happen.
Thanks for writing, and
that's all we have for this
week, see you next time.
"Comatose" plays
again as we fade to the SWA
logo and then to black. |
