Once the SWA logo goes
across the screen, the scene
opens up in a very unusual
setting. It isn't the
Wednesday Wristlock set you
expected Ventor to be in. It
is in a local New Jersey Bar
and Grill. Mark Ventor walks
to the middle of the screen
with a drink in his hand.
Hundreds of people are in
the background cheering as
loud as they possibly can.
With a grin on his face,
Ventor has a seat, takes a
sip of his cold beverage,
and places it on the table.
You can hear some faint "Ventor!
Ventor!" chants in the back
of the room. Ventor waves at
those fans, which in turn
makes them cheer even
louder. Ventor starts off
the show.. Ventor: Hello, and welcome to another edition of the Wednesday Wristlock. As always, Mark Ventor never fails to deliver. I figured, since we are always stuck in the same set, why not change things up a bit? Since I have a couple of days to myself, I thought why not come to the best city in America. My home city....Trenton New Jersey! People in the bar go nuts after Mark says this comment. With all the cheers, whistles, and every other type of noise known to man, Mark can't even let another word out until the noise dies down. Ventor smiles at the crowd before speaking again... Ventor: Thank you, thank you everyone. It is my pleasure to be out here once again, believe me. Tonight show isn't going to be as long as some of the other ones, because there is no one to interview tonight. Yes, I know, it's not fair. But, nonetheless, we will still have a great show ahead of us. We will have some SWA News. We will have some SWA Trivia with a lucky fan at Champ's Bar and Grill! The fans in the back go wild yet again. Ventor: Then, we are going to have the Edge Preview for this week, and also my well thought out predictions along with that. Edge should be a great show this week. There are a ton of good matches in this one, but the one match in particular that everyone is talking about is the Main Event. The Ventor Invitational will finally come to an end after weeks of anticipation. The three final contestants, B Cool, Boomer, and Kaiser, will battle in a triple threat to determine the #1 contendership for my SWA Championship. We will preview the whole show in just a little bit. Right now, there is a little bit of SWA News we have to go over. Now, unlike the In the Squared Circle with CTU, I actually have some news to report! Haha, anyway. First, I want to congratulate two superstars for their performances last week. In case you missed Edge last week, Stevie Corah defeated Grave to become the new Skyfall Xtreme Champion. I knew he was capable of doing it. We also have ourselves a new Crusierweight Champion. Only holding the title a few weeks, Joey Flash was defeated by Cedro Martinez, who now is our new champion. Good job to both men. Hey, speaking of championships, I have another piece of news to report regarding our Intercontinental Champion, Russell Brown. Two weeks ago, Russell Brown was supsended without pay for the things that he said in his promo. Well, now the two weeks are up, and Russell Brown should be back in action by the Invasion PPV. Knowing Crystal, I would have to say she'll make him defend his championship. Also, as my last piece of SWA News, I want to address Quion. Why? Because I can, and it's my show. That's why. Quion, you are the most miserable, depressed, bipolar individual I have ever laid my set of eyes on. You have family problems? Medical problems? That's fine, I am completely understanding, but don't you ever take your anger out on me like that again. I guess were not friends anymore, and you know what? That's fine by me. But keep this in the back of your head. Don't harass me. Don't get anywhere near me. I am tired of your whining, bitching, and moaning every damn day. Be a man and just leave me alone for once in your life. Ventor shakes his head, thinking about what happened between him and Quion a few days ago. Ventor: Anyway, that is your SWA News. Nothing much else to report that's groundbreaking. Moving on, it is now time once again for some SWA Trivia. But, before we begin, we have to choose a random guest from the crowd. Who wants to help me out here? Come on make some noise! All the people start to raise their hands in the restaurant. Ventor rubs his beard, looking around the room. Finally, he stumbles upon a young teenager, who is probably no older than 14 years old. Ventor yells for him to come by his table. The boy quickly runs over with a big smile from ear to ear on his face. Once he goes over to Mark, the two shake hands.. Ventor: Hey there, buddy. What's your name? Shawn: My name is Shawn. Nice to meet you Ventor! I will be a better guest than last week's Sag Bobbit....I promise! Ventor: Nice to meet you too. Well, I certainly hope your a better guest than Sag Bobbit. Shawn, if you win today's edition of SWA Trivia, you will receive a replica of the SWA Intercontinental Championship! Ventor takes the golden belt out of the pouch next to him. Shawn looks at the title in awe. Ventor: Sean, are you ready for SWA Trivia!? Shawn: Let's do this, Ventor!! Ventor: Allright, first question. This is an easy one. Who were the first ever Tag Team Champions of the SWA? Shawn: The BC Brothers....Brawler and B Cool.. Ventor: Correct. Keep up the good work, Shawn. You shouldn't have any problems with this next question, either. Who are the four members of the Renegades? Shawn: Boomer, Coffee Queen, Ozeki..and Jakester. Ventor: Again, you are correct. You got two easy ones in the beginning, but this last one is a toughie. On the very first edition of Edge, Aquiro had a match. Who was it against. The kid thinks about it for a few seconds, then quickly realises who it is.... Shawn: I know! Tyrone Hood! Ventor: Wow, I am surprised. You actually remember Tyrone Hood? Who remembers Tyrone Hood?? Seriously!! Anyway, Shawn has won SWA Trivia, thus winning the replica SWA Intercontinental Championship. Ventor hands him the title. Shawn raises it above his head and yells with great joy. He goes over by his parents once again. Ventor smiles and continues to speak again.. Ventor: Ahh, there you have it. Ventor is like Walt Disney. Everyone's dreams will come true, much like Shawn's. Anyway, let's move onto the SWA Edge Preview.... Ventor looks down at his papers on his table. He takes a sip of his drink before continuing... Ventor: Well, as I said before, this is the second long edition of Edge. There will be seven entertaining matches, as well as an edition of my Edge talk show...The Vent. To start off the night, the opener is a newer SWA Talent that not only debuted, but won his first match against the 500 pound Behemoth. That man, Beau Dodge, will take on Shadow in single's action this week. Both men sent in their promos, and by the looks of things, both are focused on this match. I have wrestled Shadow many times in the past. He's a tough guy, but by looking at Beau's first match, I'd have to say he's not too shabby himself. Our next match will be the dominating Trihorn going up against the former CDF member, Dante Inferno. Back in the day, Dante had Bobcat and Juggernaut to do his dirty work, but of course, he doesn't have that luxury anymore. Will he prove himself to be a good single's compeditor, or will the menace known as Trihorn shove him right off the shelf? To be honest, I haven't seen much of what Trihorn can do in the ring, but just by listening to all his promos, he seems like one insane individual. Then, in more single's action, two newer athletes to the SWA scene, Korgoth and Justice Blackstone, will go at it. Blackstone returned last week and defeated his opponent, Larell, without even breaking a sweat. Korgoth made his debut last week too, defeating Austin McLane without much of a problem either. They proved they were good wrestlers last week, but can they prove who is the better of the two this week? Then, we will have the Vent, with some surprise guest. After that, Phoenix is scheduled to go up against the returning Relic. However, who knows if this is even going to happen. She won't return my phone calls, text messages, or anything. The odds of her actually showing up at this Edge are slim to none, in my opinion. I hope she does, though. I really hope she does. I haven't seen the girl in like....a month! Anyway, we'll talk about that more a little later on. Our next match will be a tag team contest between the Star Brothers, Jake and Mark, going up against the brand new makeshift tag team Shadow and McGoldrick. This match won't be for the SWA Tag Titles, by the way. Why Crystal put these two together, I don't know. Personally, it could be a great tag team. Both men using their martial arts background can really liven up the tag team division, especially since there aren't too many tag teams in the SWA anymore. Keep in mind, Shadow is doing double duty this week, because of his other match with Beau Dodge. Let's see how that effects him in a few days. Next up is a grudge match. The long time SWA and IWF veteran, Aquiro, goes up against the man who attacked him last week on Edge, Thundervolt. Aquiro was attacked by Thundervolt, clubbing Aquiro over the head with a small type of headstone. After this, Kaiser covered Aquiro's shoulder to the mat for the victory. My question simply is, why? Why did Thundervolt do this? We saw a few weeks ago, his best friend Aldranix attack Brawler. Is there any connection between this? Who knows. All I know, is that if Aquiro wants revenge, this match is the perfect opportunity to get it. Then, to finish off the night, is going to be my favorite match. Triple threat...B Cool, Boomer, and Kaiser....go at it to see who the true #1 contender for my title really is. This one I can barely even predict. That's why it's so good. You have the quickness of B Cool, the strength of Boomer, and the...um....craziness of Kaiser! All three men did great in the tournament so far, but there can only be one left. There you have it, folks. I think most of these matches are going to be close ones. Ventor reaches into his bag, putting his laptop on the table. He turns it on and waits for it to boot up. Ventor: Well, since I couldn't plug in the prediction screen here, I got the next best thing. My laptop. Sure, it's a bit on the small side, but you'll live. Let's predict, SWA Edge...... SWA Edge Single's Match: Beau Dodge vs. Shadow Ventor: Beau Dodge was very impressive in his first match, but I have to say Shadow with this one. Shadow has wrestled a lot longer than he has. I don't care how much of a diamond in the rough Beau is. Shadow is a veteran in the squared circle, and he will show it in this match without a doubt. Winner Predicted: Shadow Single's Match: Dante Inferno vs. Trihorn Ventor: Since his debut, Dante hasn't really proved to me anything that he is a serious single's compeditor. Trihorn hasn't wrestled much, but he sure has hell made an impact already. Trihorn for the win in this one. Winner Predicted: Trihorn Single's Match: Justice Blackstone vs. Korgoth Ventor: These two both have had successful debuts, so it's kind of hard to choose a winner for this one. If I had to choose, I'd say Justice. His submission ankle lock looks brutal, and if he gets it on Korgoth, it looks to be all over. Winner Predicted: Justice Blackstone Single's Match: Phoenix vs. Relic Ventor: If Phoenix shows up tomorrow, I think she has this one in the bag, simply because of all the anger she has built over the last month or so. She has to release it on someone. Winner Predicted: Phoenix Tag Team Match (Non-Title): Shadow and McGoldrick vs. The Star Brothers Ventor: Oh man, another toughie. The Star Brothers may be the champions at this time, but I'm not going to count that against Shadow and McGoldrick. Quite frankly, they haven't done much with the titles since they won them. Even though McGoldrick and Shadow never tagged in their life, I think they are going to be lethal. Even though this is a non-title match, if Shadow and McGoldrick win this match, it could make them the number one contenders. Winners Predicted: Shadow and McGoldrick Single's Match: Thundervolt vs. Aquiro Ventor: All I can say about this one is, I think that Thundervolt messed with the wrong man at the wrong time. He basically screwed Aquiro out of winning the SWA Championship anytime soon. I am sure Aquiro will find a way to win this one, as well as make Thundervolt experience a little pain on the side. Winner Predicted: Aquiro Main Event - Triple Threat Match to end the Ventor Invitational: Boomer vs. B Cool vs. Kaiser Ventor: You know, there are just some matches that I can't even begin to predict, and this is one of them. All three men have worked so hard to get to where they are. Instead of a prediction, all I want to say is good luck to all three of these men. And whoever wins, I will see you at Invasion. Ventor presses the power button his laptop to shut of the screen. Ventor: There you go, folks. SWA Friday Night Edge is going to be a great one this week. Make sure you tune in to this extraordinary show, please. I am Mark Ventor, and this has been another edition of the Wednesday Wristlock. Have a great night. Before the show ends, out of no where a man begins to attack Ventor with a fury of punches. The man has on a black mask, shirt, pants, gloves, and shoes. Ventor blocks out of the way as much as he can and tries to throw some punches of his own, but the man hits him with a low blow. He then grabs him, lifts him up as high as he can, and slams him right into the table he was sitting at, breaking it right in half. Ventor is laid out unconscious as the hundreds of people look on in disbelief. The man takes a beer he found on one of the tables and pours it all over Ventor. A lady is about dial up 911, but it is no use. The man takes the phone and rips it right out of the wall. He looks at the lady. Masked Man: Don't worry about it. I am out of this dump. The man, still with his mask on, casually walks out of the room. Once he is gone, a bunch of the people come out to help Ventor as the scene fades to black.... |
